I'm working on a prototype for the forum map....

Map clicky

Please let me know if it's working guys and girls.  I have added some of the regulars, but please don't be offended if you arent on there yet - it's only because I didnt have your location info handy.

Yes it's setup like that because that site caters for all sorts and it's common to see people adding themselves to lots of random maps.
Send me a postcode and I'll add you.

Thats great Murph and much better than 'MEMBERS LIST'. Hope everybody is entered on it. Do members put there location on? If so may not be better than members list which has only worked for the enthusiastic ones. When you going to do the Brazilian map!

Keep at it and it will give you something to do whilst laid up!

Very good. I do like maps. I reckon the advantage is that as soon as someone knows a location they will want to check where it is on a map anyway so this cuts out a step. I picture tells a thousand words.

I fact, Kevin, it shows that you are not that alone  :). Wales is fairly close to SE England but Whippit etc are further away  :o.

It's far from perfect though.
It wont find Mitch's address, or Yasmines!

Do you pin them by postcode ?. If so, for the troublesome ones, maybe find the address on streetmap and then manually pin in the TC map. I assumed this was google maps but is it something different ?.

OK got those sorted, by doing just that as it happens.
It's setup so that I have to add the pins on the map.
That way we will not have other Zeemap users adding pins to our map.

Yes I agree with you. Its best to avoid people who just want to add themselves to any/all maps etc regardless of whether they have a Carlton or any interest in them whatsoever !. I have also seen the over information in google maps where the same stuff is added more than once.

I just thought about Kevin4legs' comment a while ago regarding me being Croydon AND also Penarth. I dont go to Penarth that often but I suppose its significance is as a cost effective way of getting stuff to/from Kevin. Not sure how relevent it is or how you would show it ?. Up to you, maybe that is over information ?.
