Few bits from garage clear out
« on: August 22, 2017, 10:16:31 AM »
This is a test to see if 'postimage' works as I'm not going to upgrade my photobucket account.

Hah it works!

Ah, these are blacked out front indicators and rear lenses from the estate, indicators are face lift items.
The only disclaimer I am putting up is that these may not be road legal but are fine for shows.
I'm asking 40 for the lot.
I do have other Carlton items for sale, some estate specific, some not.
Once I have finished uploading I will post them up.

Cheers
Jon

Hi there,

Any chance you have the electrical speedo unit sender? (not sure if I described it correctly...)

Thanks

Not entirely sure of which part you mean, can you give me a description of what it physically looks like rather than trying to name it?

AI reckon that'll be the unit that sits on the gearbox Jon.

Hell Murph, don't tell me theres somebody running around in a Golf masquerading as me!!!

Nope, not me. I've never driven a golf and I've never been to Sixfields.

Although I must say I've driven a Ford Consul Mk1, a Mk 1 Zephyr , a Vauxhall Velox (early type) , Morris Oxford split screen etc  which might give you an idea of my age - and still living.
I've never been to any car shows but I've worked and travelled extensively in Uk and abroad.

Anyway good to see you back in harness again.

Well I got near in a VW Derby - well the Spanish(?) equivalent. Only drove  it for a while. Nasty/ugly scrape from door to under the OS cill caused by the owner turning right over a low wall. No one wanted it and it went (unecessarily) for scrap after a time waster left us with the choice of taxing it or scrapping it. Don't think I went to sixfields in it though !.
1993 2.0 CD(X)i Auto Estate (Rioja Red very little tin worm & reasonable paint).
RIP - 1992 2.0 CDXi Manual Estate (Spectral Blue with far too much tin worm, now only parts).

Old age means wondering: Do I really have to struggle to become an expert in something I might never need to do again.

Well PeterC, it seems like it wasn't you masquerading as me at Sixfields.
VWs ugly looking things engineered for mine Kampf - Adolphs plaything.

Finally, I am able to access the forum again!!!
No idea what was keeping me out...................

In answer to the last question, nope, sorry don't have that particular part.

I do still have various other bits and bobs that are needed to be gone. The biggest of those is a complete aircon system that came out of a 2.6 estate. As far as I can remember it was a working system when removed. I have had it sat in boxes for a while now so it will need a bit of TLC and testing I would think. I am never going to fit it now as the old girl is back in the UK and the heating system is fine for my needs in Scotland! I hasten to add I have not joined the car, still enjoying life (semi retired) in sunny Spain. She does make a decent run around for when we visit though.
I will do my level best to list parts on my next visit back there.

For now, all the best to members on here for 2018, may your Carltons keep running smooth!!!
