MOT again

 That time of year again  ::)
spent a couple of days checking,greasing ,servicing etc

another years MOT  :)
(as of last friday)

couple of tyres are close to the limit
(i have replacements waiting to go on the alloys)
slight play in N/S wishbone front bush
(got a new bush in stock)
 which i may swap,depends what the ball joint & back bush are like once the wishbone is off

so this year
new front windscreen
new heated rear windscreen
new alternator
new HT leads/plugs/oil/filter
treated with injector cleaner
treated with cataclean
new thermostat
new genuine GM black fuel pump relay
new middle exhaust box
new propshaft center bearing and carrier

to do
wishbone or bush
wash.mop & polish
touch up some stone chips etc
tyres
diff and manual transmission fluid change
mid summer scrape underneath plus more underseal

new double din sterio system with parking cameras
( if i can be bothered to mod the center console for it)
new remote central locking

Hello Dave,
Keeping yourself busy and like any other car theres always plenty to do especially at MOT time. ;D

At least you shouldn't have quite so much to do next time unless you change the windscreens every year. I don't  ;D

 Did the car pass the MOT.

It passed first time, last friday
back window was smashed into a million tiny cubes ,took a week for autowindscreens to find a replacement
front screen had 3 stone chips so needed doing
i only tend to replace the glass when it needs doing  ;)

i always spend a couple of days a year giving the carlton a bit of TLC

Its good to know that screens can still be sourced and its also good to know that another Carlton still fights on. 8)

89 Project tube GSI 6000 16V!

With a top blue tint,(which was in stock at suppliers) no in-screen Ariel , local independent fitter ,using my original rubber surround seal 
quote was 153 inc screen,acid etch,bonding sealant,fitting at his depot, vat

Personally I don't think thats bad considering that it keeps another Carlton on the road.  8)
