Idling problem

Carlton 2.0 idling problem, it's idling high (1500ishrpm) and engine management light is on  does anyone have an idea what it could be? Throttle sensor?

Se or ne and the usual suspect is the icv try pinching off the rubber pipe a bit and see if it drops the revs
what would life be like if we all drove fwd cars? feckin boring that's what rear drive or bust

Ne but done it now a wire had come off of the silver cylinder bit near injection rail, can't think of what it's called. But thanks for reply.

ICV= Idle control valve
what would life be like if we all drove fwd cars? feckin boring that's what rear drive or bust
