C30NE Erratic Idle
« on: December 17, 2015, 11:49:54 AM »
So all is running sweet and well with my C30NE conversion. Other than the idle. It fluctuates up and down while sat and coming off the throttle with the clutch dipped it will drop almost to the point of stall. The ICV that was fitted was stuck in position so swapped it out for two others than I had kicking around and it actually idled better with the stuck one...

Any ideas?

I had exactly that with a C30SE engine car I bought, faffed about for ages with the ICV and searching for air leaks. It was the AFM.
Swapped it for a known good one and problem solved for years.

It's been overfuelling a lot as well and stuttering, going to swap out the AFM (wanted ad posted!) and the Lambda - CTS already done as part of the swap over. Cheers all   :)

As a note to this, it was the Lambda. It wasn't acting within the range it should be when I plugged my diagnostic machine into it for some live data so swapped that out and all is well!
