Any body got any tricks to open the rear dead locked doors

If it is because the CDL is getting dozey. Try this - have someone try to pull the plunger up at the same time as you turn the key in the drivers door lock. Worked for me on a low battery when dismantling the blue Carlton.

Old age means wondering: Do I really have to struggle to become an expert in something I might never need to do again.

I had to do it once.

I took the rear seat out, then took the door card off, then used wire cutters to cut the top off the door lock motor.
I suppose once the door card is off you could deal with it different ways, maybe power the motor with some wires or disassemble something.
I was in a hurry and didn't need it to work again.
