That looks very clean.

Is it as good "under the covers" ?

By the sticker in the back window, it looks at it was owned by someone who was member of ABS.

That does look very nice.

I had one that colour back when they were a lot less old (maybe 2000) and it didn't look anywhere near as nice as that.

aye its in very good nick and actually surprised at how good it is under the covers, doesn't need any welding for mot but has seen some in the past like any other, had arches replaced at some stage and must have got a full respray too.

aye it must have been theres more abs stickers and stuff in along with the service history, some man looked after it very well

Hi david

As requested, mine......not as good as yours by the looks of it!

It's in pretty good shape but could do with a little TLC here and there

According to my records it was owned by a former ABS member who lived in Shoreham but lapsed his membership in Oct 2012 I guess after he sold the car. Looks like he'd had the car for close on 10 years.

Yeah I think there's a shoreham address on the logbook and loads of old receipts with it too. Think it left england in 2012, went to county meath in ireland, then donegal, then I bought it. He must have loved the car there's a fortune worth of receipts with it, hopefully I can keep it as good as he did.

They've went up in price a fair bit since then lol. Doesn't look like much has changed on it, electric mirrors still don't work lol

Cheers men, yours looks stuuning too, can't remember the last time I seen a cdx on the road over here in northern ireland, probably just as rare as a gsi.

Mines is going in for mot now on monday, just finished getting it sorted there today, needed 2 droplinks and a wheel bearing. Got it under body washed, headlights set and standard reg. plates so fingers crossed she passes now  :)

Got mine from Germany off eBay they weren't to dear, obviously postage is a cost but even that not excessive. I'll try to find the source when I get a moment, was tempted to get a set for the gsi too as they are bound to be ropey, most can't see behind the trim though, you must have had a keen inspector!

cheers lad would appreciate that. Seen some on uk ebay too just didnt know if theyd be good or not, goin to ring a motor factors tomorrow over here that specialise in old vauxhalls and see if they can get me one.
Haha he was keen alright, looking in underneath the sills and behind bumpers, seemed to know his way around a carlton.
im glad he did find it because i never would of with the sideskirt on, at least now it will be a proper job and leave it perfect inderneath.

That IMHO now looks much better with the facelift tinted rear lights fitted! ;)
Nissan took a 600bhp NISMO Racecar and de-tuned this flagship Coupé for everyday use on public roads. GM took a reliable Carlton GSi 3000 24v and had Lotus convert it into a 377bhp Bahnstorming Lotus Carlton. Both vehicles were on sale from 1989....Which manufacturer would you trust with your cash??

The only prefacelift Carlton lights I like are the tinted aftermarket Irmscher items! 8)
