Greetings from the west of Ireland
« on: June 07, 2014, 08:20:16 AM »
My name is James Clarke. My first car was the '78 Opel Rekord Diesel pictured below. Pic was taken near the end of its days.

Have had many Opels & Vauxhalls down through the years and am active on a couple of different forums. Have a garage and had Opel agency since sixties up to two years ago when economy went pear shaped. Joined Total Carlton as my dad brought this home

Will start a thread on this with more pics.

Cheers,

James.

Hello and welcome.

Have to say your Opel looks amazing. What a shine to the paint work and chrome more so for the age of the car. Look forward to the write up.

Thanks for the welcome fellas. Love the 3.2 Mig but motor tax kills them here. 1809 annual tax takes the fun right out of it. :-[
As for 37 Kadett, unsure of value. My Dad was thinking of selling it as he never uses it. Needs a good service and a bit of tidying around the edges.
