it isnt too difficult at all column out, end caps off the heater pods at each end, glove box out, switches and all the facia trim, the strip under the screen reveals bolts, centre console, all the switch wiring/plugs

it sounds like an "oh crap why did i ask" thing to read but it really is not bad once you get into it

there are cable ties too holding the loom to the dash!
what would life be like if we all drove fwd cars? feckin boring that's what rear drive or bust

If I can do it, anyone can lol. Did it in 3 and half hours and it`s very straight forward, fiddly but well worth it

No need to remove the column, you can lift the dash over it easily.

Remove end pods - prize off outer cover then 3 screws each.
Remove centre console - 2 screws by oddments tray at front, 1 screw each side in footwell, 2 screws under armrest storage compartment.
Remove steering wheel.
Remove column shroud - 5 screws.
Remove all switches and blanks.
Remove left hand centre vent - prize out with screwdriver. 1 screw behind there.
Remove stereo.
Remove heater controls - 2 screws at bottom and disconnect cables.
Remove instrument surround - srews behind headlight switch, blank at bottom below headlight adjuster, 1 below lighter next to heater control screws, 1 behind switch blank on left of instruments, 2 above instruments.
Remove instrument cluster ' screws at each end and 1 at top.
Remove ashtray - screws at either side.
2 screws above stereo aperture.
Remove fash centre section.
Screws at either end of dash.
Remove dash vent trim at base of windcreen - 1 screw at each end. 3 10mm bolts underneath.
Bolts at bottom of dash where console attaches.

That should get you to the point of removing the dash. Look for cable ties holding the loom in place and take note of how it routes across the car.

Then you will have this.

Its not as bad as it sounds and you will ask yourself why you did this to yourself, but it all goes back in pretty easily.
Apologies if I missed something but someone will shout if I have.
