I had 40 years of bad feelings between 2 clubs with the same marque. I gave up and changed marques! Too much ill feeling and nasty comments, so keep it in perspective.

Point to remember is that we are all trying to keep our cars on the road, and why not use whatever facilities are offered. Also any bad image affects the way the classic car mags view you, which means less press or worse, negative press. It happens.

We are not privy to the ABS forum because they are a recognised club with a magazine and it costs to produce, so they have a subscription. TC is a forum and free.

BOTH are good for the GM marque.

Thats a fair point.
It's worth mentioning that alot of ABS members are members here too, including one of those bantering above iirc.

Point is, it's not all serious.

Agreed there Murph, if ABS had a meet on the same day you would most likely find that it would be at the other end of the country so the same people would not want to attend the same meet anyway so really its a case of choosing a date which suits the most amount of people.

The date already mentioned does clash with Enfield but if that date is going to attract the most amount of people then so be it.

Has anyone got any other dates in mind? If so post them up and we'll see who likes that and so on.

c'mon everyone lets talk!!

Of course any date with nice weather wourld be better.

18/19 May OK for me. The sooner we choose then the sooner its in the diary and reserved  :). I seem to remember someone doing a list of dates for people to vote on for the last Sixfields or something (Carlton_Mad ?).

Any more thoughts on this? It seems May the 19th is the date that has been chosen by the majority so far so provided there isnt a massive swing towards another date shall we make this the date for this meet?

The sooner we get up a firm date the better and then people know where they are.

Lets talk ladies and gents!

So shall we say the 19th then Ladies and Gents?

Lets start a new thread with all the details and a list. We can then watch the list grow and grow!
