Sixfields 2013

Is there a Sixfields meet planned for 2013? I really enjoyed the last one and would love to do it all again.

Murph mentioned to me (when I saw him at the Heritage centre) that he'd organise this in April, I said shame I wouldn't be able to make it as I wouldn't be taxing the Gsi 'til May, so he said he'd make it May instead (which was kind of him) (Not that it should be organised around just me of course  ;) )
After 10 years........she's back on the road!!!

I agree that the weather should be better in May than April.

How about Sunday the 26th may?

Diaries out everyone!

26th is one of the days of  the Enfield pageant of motoring which some may be going to but other than that it looks a good date. I dont know whether im doing Enfield or not, it really all depends whether I can get the weekend off work.

At this stage the date can always be moved to get max attendance.

I shall be doing enfield next year. Its a real good event & i would hope that we'd see more carltons out next year too?
this years event had us diving for cover, but not from the rain. The sun was beating down big time, alot of folk sunburned pretty well.
I would also attend sixfields if the date didn't clash.

Well I am thinking Enfield is convenient enough for many of us southerners to want to do both. Pity to miss Sixfields as it is nearer to those members further North.

Good idea to talk dates now as the more advance notice then the more chance people can set it aside in their diary.

Just a thought - how about a Diary thread (sticky) with all the vaguely relevent events (and my date of birth). Kept up to date by editing the first post. Should I point my finger at myself ?.

I come down from the north to enfield, so would pass northants on the way.  ;) ;) There will be a thread over on vodc about Enfield. Camping cost us 25 per pitch for the whole weekend (friday & saturday)

Hadn't thought of that. People from North might want to do both at the same time.

Only thing is the best day at Enfield is the sunday plus they like you to stay the whole weekend if you have been there for the other 2 days so I think both might be not possible. Good idea on the events calender.

I must admit that once the tent is pitched I want to stay for the duration. Also, its bound to be the case, that the best day for each is the same day of the weekend.
