This maybe something that's applicable, may not be. But a lot of forums have been getting facebook groups set up - another platform to attract people and communicate via. Don't know what the admins and other members feel around that?

I'm on the 'Vauxhall Carlton Appreciation Society' Group (on Facebook) I think a couple more members on here are on it too. The creator of that group is on here, Jim Knowles.

It's a good group, some good links from it too. (Senators, Opel Omega, etc...) All the big old bruisers.  :)

My daughter is on there, mostly so I can use her profile to comment.

I'm not on facebook or the like, as it ain't my thing. Should TC do a facebook group, I don't want to be on it.
Everyone knows that rwd is the proper way. Some refuse to admit it.

vodc has a fb page, but tbh, its dead as far as posts go. Folk still prefer the main site, we can also police it better. 8)

I have been involved with a few small organisations that have had someone within them persuade them facebook is a good idea. Had a facebook page set up but then no one keeps it up to date !.

Facebook is lost on me so I cannot say I would have found TC through that route. I guess it would have worked if I had been talking about my broken Blue Barge and then someone had pointed me in this direction. As it was I searched my way as far as VODC and someone there suggested TC.

For me I see facebook as another way of soaking up my valuable (well scant) time. But others - especially the young - seem to use facebook anyway. So if there was an easy way of keeping something up to date on facebook then I see no penalty.
1993 2.0 CD(X)i Auto Estate (Rioja Red very little tin worm & reasonable paint).
RIP - 1992 2.0 CDXi Manual Estate (Spectral Blue with far too much tin worm, now only parts).

Old age means wondering: Do I really have to struggle to become an expert in something I might never need to do again.
