I managed to make a start on the body work but didn,t get much done. Little hole After a little work this door is proberly the one that needed least work. still needs a bit more work when i have more time One thing I found out today is DON'T buy colour match spray paint from Halfords. It does't spray very even and runs very very easily.

Had the fun job of replacing rear subframe donuts/bush's, Wasn't as difficult as i thought it would be took around 2 hours to change both sides.
replacing these didn't solve the rumberling noise i sometimes hear this is normally when pulling away at junctions etc. but most commonly heared after a trip down the motorway, when pulling away from a stand still it vibrates on the rear end but only does this a couple of times, then its fine again.
could this be caused by the prop shaft.

Just possibly one of the universal joints is on its way out, they can be a sod to identify since the needle rollers keep rearranging themselves. Maybe feeling to see if any of them feel hot after a run would help point to this

After further investigation its looking like the prop center bearing is buggered (loads of up and down movement) I know i can get one of these on ebay. There is also a solid rubber block between the diff and the prop which is looking like it is starting to perish, does anyone know where i can het one of these from? Is the center bearing easy to change?

Do a google for Autovaux (Autovox, even?) in Wakey mate. Is the center bearing easy to change? Depends whether you can split the two halves of the propshaft or not. Watch for the master spline when re-assembling too.

I finally got round to changing the fuel tank today, I found a little bit more rust than expected but nothing that couldn't be fixed. It is shocking how much crap gets on top of tank. sort of explains why i couldn't put more than £25 of fuel in at a time. The new tank is now coated with a thick layer of stone chip. why did i pick up white instead of black nobody knows. all done The next job will be those pesky rear arches.
