It's not the A/H you need to worry about too much, but the CCA is the figure you need to check - basically, the bigger the CCA rating, the better. If I could tell you what mine is , I would, but can;t be arsed to remove the battery for a quick looksee! Try Varta website?
Bear in mind that the S6 engines are heavy to turn over, heavier than the V6, so why GM saw fit to use smaller batteries is beyond me - mind you, alot of what GM used in the 80's and 90's was stuff that was as cheap as possible!
The 4 pot should be OK, but would probably benefit a larger battery?
In my experience, it's worth checking the "mains" wiring from battery to starter and alternator, including all earth connections.
They might look OK, but the connections get brittle, get rotten and a few strands breaking off here and there do make a differece.
I renewed all mine, and it did work.

At a Northern meeting, a few of us tried to check out my problems, (poor starting, easy to drain the battery etc), and all the readings we did were spot on, but we couldn't check for a dead cell - a professional guy should have the gear to do that
Like I say - Battery Solutions on Leeman Road in York sorted me out, and for only £80, was worth every penny.
http://www.batterysolutionsyork.co.uk/He checked my 18 month old battery that was giving me greif to show me that there was at least one dead cell, and as it had always been like it, I assume I must have bought a dud battery (wish I could find the receipt for it!), so when you buy a new battery, make sure it is OK and keep the receipt!
