well peeps need some info /advice

my headling pretty shagged , saggy and separated from the backing , and the sunroof bits the same

so , whats best

try to refurb this one ?
find another , better one ,fit that , this is proving difficult , due to size nature of the beast !

or find some material , that i can replace the headlining with !!

come on peeps , this IS doing my head in LOL

They are a pain. But the problem is getting one. You would have to collect it flat in a van other wise it be pointless. Best bet is to go for the latest model you can get. Recovering would be a strange one due to the material used.

the main trouble is gettig the bugger out without breaking it!! to do this, the best way is to remove the front or rear windscreen (estates are soooooo much easier lol)

if you can find someone to remove your front screen (and subsequently re-fit it) remove the headliner and either reline it or get another one to replace it with BUT (always a but) you will need either a facelift without the alarm sensors one with them so they fill the holes or a good pre-face one (best of luck with that!!)

Remove it - someone once told me you can get them outta the rear door with front seats out, but not tired it myself - I did mine with the windscreen out.

Using instant spray glue (from a carpet fitter maybe), glue the saggy bits back.

If you wanna recover, find suitable material - try Dunelm Mill if you have one, they do allsorts of stuff, even vinyl tablecloth material - easy clean, light and flexible.

Mark centre of headlining and centre of new covering, and spray some glue down each mark, leave a few minutes and stick the covering onto the 'lining.

Once stuck, stick one side at a time, but make sure you use a smooth intrument to get it well stuck and tucked well into any corners (like grab-handle recesses) or it'll start to come away over time.

Trim to suit and refit.

Yup, sounds a doddle, but you'll need appropriate tools, a fair bit of space and one helluva lot of patience.

Or if you find  good one in a breakers, ask the owner if you can cut the B post out on both sides of the car.

It is possible to take it out the front doors or rear doors and in 1 piece - with just a light bending required when dropping it from the roof

mmmm..........

 might!!!

or then again - they do make nice pillow cases!!!!

anyhow - if you fancy doing the S\R visor too you'll need to drop out the S\R to get at it:

the S\R shud be closed then you'll need to pop out the 1st 2 runners-

By insaneco, shot with FinePix S1000fd at 2009-03-20
...next is the stoppers that are located on the vent in the visor - just pop these down BUT DO NOT try and pull the vent out fully as it is screwed in the middle -

By insaneco, shot with FinePix S1000fd at 2009-03-20
... it shud then slide on back enuff for you to remove the other 2 runners.

you can then replace or leave the S\R out - also remove the 2 screws that hold the vent in place if you so please..

it now looks like this....
