Hi everyone.
I've been trying to fit an aftermarket unit in my 1989 Senator, but I think the wiring around the original connecting plug, (the big black one), is suspect. I'm going to use my own wiring for the power, but can anyone tell me where a good and easily accessible power source is please. Need two really, one for ignition and one for the permanent live for the memory.
I tried fitting with an adaptor lead as well, but with no luck.
Hope y'all don't mind me posting here, but they're pretty much the same car aren't they.

Welcome 2 the site, I take it utalking sterio here? Some vauxhalls take permanent live from hazzard switch,
the ignition feed will have 2 come direct from ignition switch, hope this helps u in ur quest.

Yeah, fuse is ok. I think the wiring is broken in the loom somewhere. Sometimes there's power, sometimes there's not.
It can't be trusted, so I'll do my own wiring.
Thanks for the welcome and the tips.
Found this site quite by accident while looking through ebay, glad I did though.
I want another Carlton now.
