HAS anyone ever fitted 18" wheels to a carlton AND lowered it at the same time?
Were there any clearance issues?
Many thanks
And happy Christmas!

wheel width, offset and how much you want to lower by would be useful info chappy in order for us to give you and answer Smiley

They are fairly decent sized arches though so unless you are going wide then there shouldnt be a big issue.

I know I often have clearance issues with wheels rubbing the front strut though but thats mainly an offset thing.

Mine's on 18's and lowered, but as Das Colonel said, down to offset, really.

TBH, I can't remember the all of wheel figures, but if you look in the gallery for 'The Louts', I might have stuck it in there..........

Mine also has Lotus arches, so clearance not such an issue - however, the rear is 25-30mm lower, and sometimes there is breif contact between tyre and body, usually when the boot's loaded.
