Not sure if anyone is interested but Grin

Rolling Road day just off Junction 24/25 M1 Nottingham area.

Its about numbers at the moment ABS and OOF are currently involved. It will be one Sunday in October mid to end of the month. Current cost is £30 but the more there is the better.

I am organising the meet so just seeing if there is any interest on here.

Rolling road up to 500bhp so should cover most Grin

Linc below for where it will be held

Pete we are looking at the second Sunday of the month October 12th at the moment.

It can then be tied in with the Midlands ABS/OOF meet just down the road.

Which gives plenty of time for a Pint and a good chat etc after for thoes that want to.

take care brian

PS Midlands meet is held at link below

Hi Brian, this is of interest to me & the 12th October is good for me too. Do I need to join the ABS club? I've got the papers here ready, so not too much of a problem. Will there be any mag like Total Vauxhall there tho? Not too keen if a mag like that is there.

cheers Ian

White hot GSi - Nope don't have to join any club its NOT an official club meet as such i was just asked if i could organise something. As far as I'm aware at this stage no mags have been invited.

Pete - will be in he next couple of weeks just waiting for another VX site to sort out.

John - Eastwood junction 26 M1. Both rolling road and ABS meet junction 24 or 25 M1 depending if you are coming from north or south. ABS/OOF meet always second Sunday every month at the Plank and Leggit. Only local meet so come in what you want. I stopped putting the meet up on here as no one showed any interest so was no point.

few pics from this months meet.

That's enough  Grin I will keep all posted as things develop.

I think the Northern meet is just ABS if i remember. With less and less of the older cars around it made sense to have a joint meet with OOF lads as Andy White from ABS is a member on there as well.

So we put the two together at a good venue and it seems a lot better than it was. Average of 10 motors per meet at the moment.

Problem being nowadays is the old fuel cost so some have cut the meets down to every other one. Cant blame them Pete its ok for me i could walk there in 5 mins but people like Craig and Richard Horton are one and a half hours away.

ABS Northern meet did have a load of Astra/Nova/Corsa/Mantas there once, but I didn't make it. Apparently, it was pretty cool though.

Don't think the other cars go anymore, but I know Matt Simmo quite well (new Northern RO for ABS), and he wants to get things moving - thing is, he's been without t'internet for a while, and now he's back online, got a lot of playing catch-up to do.

Hour and a half is about what it takes me to get to Manchester (terrible place, full of Red Rose types and allus raining!!!), which is about the same time to Derby/Notts area for me.

Craig - By the looks of your speeding incident (bad luck sorry) i don't think  your problem will be which to go to more of will you be driving at all. There but for the grace of god an all that.

Pete - Yep hour and a half sounds about right . Went up to daughters on Saturday at Grimsby 1hour 40mins there and 1 hour 30 mins back.
I will send Matt a pm and see if he would be interested in a joint meet with OOF if so i will get him in touch with others.

Take care brian
