Very smart it is too! Think I might have a set of black plug leads going spare.............swap you for a bypass plug? Thanks Pete. No problem mate, once I get some more made I'll put your name on one,Ian needs some more so I'll have to get my finger out. Does this mean your keeping your one now.

Real nice. 300 miles? So be honest how many times have you had your heart in your mouth over every little noise come rattle? I'll be MOTing the LC soon and running in a new motor always reduces me to a nervous wreck.

Seems that way, won't know what to do until next March when it comes out of hibernation, but either way, I still have that 5K 24Vengine to strip, check then maybe rebuild....maybe this winter if all goes to plan.

Made a start this weekend to fitting the senator boot spoiler under the lotus one,Got the idea from Sean's DTM rep. Got the spoiler from ebay last year for the grand sum of £6,First off I fitted the spoiler to the Carlton boot lid, which was straight forward, then set the lotus one on top marked around the legs and started to trim. After having both spoilers on and of about twenty times it was ready for paint,Been a bit of a pain but it will be worth it in the end.The senator spoiler is slightly wider than the Carlton but once the lotus spoiler is on you cant see the gap,On the plus side it wont rub the paint of the back wings. I have done mine slightly diffrent from the way Sean did his,on the outer ends I trimmed down the hole outer part as my lotus spoiler sits a bit further back, then I took the grinder with a flap disk and narrowed down the side so as the top spoiler fits nice and tight to it.Then down to the paint shop last night quick DA and on with the paint. Just stuck it down today so I'll let it sit tonight then give it a bit of a polish tomorrow before I fit the other spoiler back on.

I know the last post in this thread a while ago, but well done Martin in getting the car featured in the latest edition of Total Vauxhall. We need more Carltons in there. Mantas are mainly featured with engine transplants.
Your hard work has been rewarded with a magazine feature. I call that a fantastic result. Now that is automotive porn.

Yes Kevin it was not a bad feature was well impressed how they put it together,I had made my mind up to sell it but after the article i'm having second thought's now.I got a proper print of the centre page done which the Mrs has let me put it up on the sitting room wall,I do feel i will have to pay for that privilege at some point.
