get them in for mot's they feel much better built than the newer type (6 cyl)it is really hard to describe but they are a more robust vehicle they dont trash engines as much either according to the guys that bring them in (they are an independent bmw specialist) called funnily enough BMW (Bexley Motor Works)
the newer bmws also blow head gaskets and when you have cooked the engine even a little when you come to change it the thread strips out of the block and this obviously makes it fubar!!!

Seems most manufacturing is cutting as many corners as possible - using the cheapest material, cheapest labour and cheapest methods. No wonder the Civilised World is falling apart!

Well lads there it is my new toy,1200 miles and 6 and a half grand later it now sits in my drive way. Amazing cars to drive left London at 5:30 and got back to Aberdeen 1:30 in the morning, not bad for 595 miles only used £70 of fuel to which i thought was pretty good. Then spent another 14 hours on the boat to get back home for Monday morning and straight to work.Boy was i fcuk on Tuesday morning. Carlton project will be going a bit slower now unfortunately only because I'm skint and having to work all the overtime i can get to pay for the paint.

Nice - best colour for a BMW, I think. But it has them Chavvy M3 mirrors on the doors............. My ex-boss (a certain Mr. Dave Cook from DCRS) had an M3 coupe - dunno what "number" it was, but it was an M reg, a year old when he got it. Fettled it a bit, and it flew to over 170 like it was doing 60. Took me out in it to Newcastle and proved it! By Feck, that was a monster!!!!!! BTW, some old dear slightly tapped the rear bumper, and it was only slight, but cost her over three grand for bumper (no steel bits), reversing sensors and ECU, bumper dampers, paint and labour..............

Sorry lads been very busy this last while,Carlton is sitting in storage at the moment. Fixing up me old frontera at the moment getting her ready for the winter, have a funny feeling that the beamer will be for no use when the weather changes.Had a couple of brown pants moments already and that was on slightly damp roads. Ones the frontera is out of the garage I'll get the Carlton back in start on her again.
