Hi there, are carlton GSi 12v & early 24v manual gearboxes the same? Thank you for your help.

AFAIK, they are - known as the R28 box (R=RWD, 28= torque capacity, which is 280 lbs/ft).

Hmmmmmmm - thinking about it, I'm now not so sure, as the earlier 12v might have had the R25 box, as fitted to the 2.0 litre models.

But I don't know for sure Embarrassed

I bet there'll be someone along soon who can tell you for definite!
