have discovered a large amount of water in the front passenger footwell of the senator i just bought

have taken up carpet and sound proofing which was soaked and couldnt smell coolant so am assuming its rain water

any common causes for this sort of thing in senny land

thought it may be the sunroof drains anyone know where these exit exactly and how to check?

any help much appreciated

Check the skuttle drains.

Check the skuttle drains.

And have a look inside the ECU for water damage especialy if the clear plastic cover is missing.

check the insides of the front wheel arches for rust holes also.... happened on mine!

the sunroof drain pipes come the A pillar and exit just behind where the ecu is situated, same position on passenger side not sure where the rear ones exit from. give them a blast with the compressor, that should be good enough to clear them out.
If not that then where the bonnet hinges are there are pockets below and they sometimes get full up of leafs and rubbish which then flood into your car when raining. hope that can help you.
