Spell Check

I don't know whether it's a problem with my computer, but it seems to be that seven times out of ten, if I use spell check on Totalcarlton, it locks up my PC and the only remedy seems to be Ctrl. Alt. Del. come out of Totalcarlton and start again

This means that I lose everything I've typed, I've got two sore typing fingers and a severely ticked off feeling

I don't use the spell cheek, ( )  but have you tried the "Back" button in your toolbar?

It should go back a page, and that way, you can still use what you've typed (I think).

Might it be an idea to C&P onto Word or Notepad until the post has actually been posted?

Thanks for the suggestions, C&P is the only one that would work, so long as I use it before spell check because the whole thing is locked solid and only Ctrl.Alt.Del does anything

Free software called ieSpell. Just type in on google. It's an add on for internet explorer.

I've got spellcheck on my toolbar, it's just that I expect the Totalcarlton one to work I shall avoid it like the plague in future

yeah we seem to have a few issues with the spellcheck. Not heard of it locking up a PC yet though, so you've taken it to a new level! 

May just switch it off until we get round to upgrading the board.

Maybe it's the TOF detector in the server switching in

I know things like this can be very annoying and test one's patience (many's the time I've threatened to throw something at the screen when on TC!), but I think that for a free forum, it's worth having to put up with the odd glitch or gremlin!

I totally agree with your comments, I reckon that this forum has become a vital lifeline ( becoming international ) for Carlton/Omega A owners.
