Some of you know this car....

Craigs old motor.
in my ownership, its had a hard time Ill confess. A night rally that bent steering components, my love of drifting, and my 'friends' lack of respect for other peoples cars when drunk means shes not especially mint. A layup over the winter months with a previously unknown water leak has also meant 90% of the interior trim is now growing interesting fungal cultures.
Shes in a sad state, but being my only (daily) car, I have to get her sorted. Some of you may remember her being taken off the road after a particularly harsh drift incident last september. Sadly my quest for some uprated parts while she was apart meant I was without some key components until the last few weeks. One of which being the flywheel!
The general theme now is going to be road legal track day racer, except properly this time (memories of the original white wonder! never should of scrapped her

) I have saved the cash for a full roll cage, which I will be getting quotes on when she moves under her own steam again. Which, when I finally get a clutch, should be relatively soon.
The current to do list stands at.......
-Refit flywheel, clutch & gearbox!
-fix and refit headlights
-fix/modify exhaust and refit
-replace bent suspension arm, check strut
-fit second bucket seat and harness
-fit battery box and relocate (have to do that now as I over-eagerly removed the battery tray!)
-fit HIDs (my daily remember!)
-fit guages
-fix holes in roof
-fix roof skin strengtheners
-get windscreen changed
-MOT
Listed like that its not too bad actually
Then theres the post MOT to do list of....
-tidy arches before they get worse
-get roll cage quotes
-clean the back up internally (only had the seats and carpets removed to stop the moisture from causing any more problems so far)
and a gazillion other things too that I cant be arsed to type out heh

At least Ive welded the chassis leg up good and proper. How vauxhall manages to make the middle skin of all its strutural metal rust while keeps the outers in perfect knick Ill never know! But lots of rust chasing left me with a big old hole! Still, tis all fixed now, and was remarkably easy.

Heres my custom made lightweight flywheel (17Kgs -> 8Kgs)

When its fitted and tested, then it will be available for sale through TTV racing.

got my sump repaired and baffled, although like a silly sausage I didnt take any pics before refitting!
Current mods
-bucket seat and snap off steering wheel
-carlton GSi Konis + unknown lowering springs
-stripped rear
-cabletie spec rear bumper
Thats about it!
Heres some random pictures from it in my ownership......

so when my clutch comes, its rebuild time
