Allen bolts inside the runners. Push the seat back as far as it will go, look inside the runners and you'll see them Then push the seat as far forward as it will go, and you'll see the same at the rear of the runners. I think they need a number 8 allen key. Easy-peasy job.

Soak the bolts in WD40 for a bit first mate - I've had one or two shear and while it's unusual you cant be too careful!

And lift it right up on the hieght adjuster, makes it much easier. Had one where one bolt wouldn't come out, just turned and turned

I find it easier to remove the headrest before removing the seat too. Also, before you actually take the seat out, get it central on it's runners and be careful not to pick it up by grabbing the bar - the runners will slide and smack into summat.

Quote: "Had one where one bolt wouldn't come out, just turned and turned" Yes, that's right, I've had them do that too. There's a 'captive nut' spot welded to the inside of the sealed box section & these allen bolts have thread lock on them, so they always need a lot of force to shift them (regardless of how much WD40 you may put on them). If the seats have never been removed before in the life of the car, then it is very likely that one of the captive nuts WILL break off inside the sealed box section.......then you'll be buggered You'll not be able to re-tighten it either, so you'll have to cut it off, cut open the box section, spot weld it back on, then weld the box section back up .........You've been WARNED!! If it can happen to 'Carlton Jesus'..........then it can happen to anyone

the blue thread lock is not heat resistant and if you warm up the bolt with a blow lamp they do crack open trouble is using a blow lamp under a seat by carpets

the blue thread lock is not heat resistant and if you warm up the bolt with a blow lamp they do crack open trouble is using a blow lamp under a seat by carpets I was thinking the same - but you might be able to get one of those chef's blowtorches in there - I have one, and it's bloody handy for all sorts of little jobs like this. Also great for heatshrink........and no, I don't cook!. If a caged nut does go the way of the pear, then as HMK says, get it out, drill right through the floor, weld a piece of steel, about 3mm thick, 100x100mm square, drill a hole in the centre for a new seat bolt, fix underneath the floor. Personally, I'd weld it once the seat was all bolted in. This should be fine as long as the floor is sound.
