Hi all,

Chris has finally got me to do it!

After year of modifying BMC A-series engines to push over 145BHP using 7/8 port heads, I've finally bought a J reg GSI 24v, that needs the engine fixing and body, not restoring, but tidying.

Chris looked at, said yes, so that was it.

Any one who has any GSI 24v parts that they want to sell, please contact me.

My web site with all the photos off my cars is www.ayab91.dsl.pipex.com

Depends what he needs though.  I have plenty of pre-facelift interior bits, but 24mans car should have the facelift interior being a J-reg.

Ah, Mr 24vMan..........just had a look at some of your pictures & I see you're a bit of a 'Mini' fan too Grin

And, as you can see from the picture below that this is the reason that I have to work on my three Carltons outside as there's something else taking up space in the garage..............

I've owned it for about 18 years & it only had one previous owner who was a retired lady teacher. It's got a fully documented history from the day it was bought new in 1979 & still has its original subframes. I took it off the road in 2003 & it now needs a total restoration - one day Cheesy Tongue

HMK,

Good man, I restored my GT in 1991, it went into storage just after that, shipped it to NZ in August 2003, didn't use it because there was no way it was getting thought compliance, and upon returning to the UK in 2005, I started using it again.

Was off the road again for 6 months whilst Minisport got the 7porter right and now its off the road for the winter.

The 68 Cooper is a disaster, bought it from EBay, didn't sound bad until I picket it up.

The body was so bad, that it needed to be done professionally - totally shot.

If it had not been 1 of 3 monotone black coopers known to still exist, I would have scraped it.

It has bled me of money  Undecided  A lot of ill feeling with this car, although it should be a super car when finished and very unique.

Jonathan.
