Always been warey of these things - it just looks like a BIG con.

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole mate, but it's up to you.

If it gave you more horsepower for such cheap money, then why haven't all car manufacturers fitted them to every car on the planet?

Usually these mods are just a resistor across one of the sensors on the engine, making it run richer.

This one seems to claim being able to advance the ignition, which is interesting seeing as most cars these days it is very hard to play with how the ignition is set (all ECU controlled)

As Matt says, usually a con.... and if they are soooooo effective why not do this instead of spending hundreds on things like porting the head for lower horsepower gains. Why arent they offered by proper tuners?

Basically..... not a good plan.

Wouldn't touch one with a rancid stick..............

Mate had one similar on a Punto, and it totally fcuked the ECU - cost him over £500 to fix!!

well have fitted over a dozen td boxes now, apart from unhappy gsi vectra which turned out to be lamda sensor fault. think best to stick to reputable companies, and get first hand comments from user?Huh??
