Title says it all really, for my 1989 Senator.
This is the ecu that is located in the drivers' footwell behind the kick panel.
Controls the cold start.
Cheers chaps.

Picture or bosch part number would be handy - I've stripped loads of senator 12V's over the years

Sorry Mr Smooth but the anwer to that question is yes - several versions

And as an aside it should normally be changed as a matched pair with the spark control unit (although I have swaped the Odd ECU on it's own and it hasn't seemed to make much difference)

Best thing with any electronic control unit is to have the number off it then you know you are replacing like with like

One of the continental ABS members melted a piston or two on his Omega Evo500 - ECU turned out to be a 3.0 12V gold top one...... not very clever and he had no idea that it was wrong

I have one here we can try on Sunday but I'm still in favour of a bad connection or broken wire.

It makes you wonder if it's been swapped before & has the wrong one fitted to it now & perhaps that's what's causing some of the trouble..... Undecided

Bit embarrassing really. Since I sprayed all the plugs with contact cleaner, the car's been starting ok, in all different kinds of weather conditions. Now I'm not saying I've cured it, because this car has a habit of lulling me into a false sense of security, but all is certainly well at the moment.
It'll probably let me down again soon.
