The previous owner had 'blacked out' the two rear window sections.
I'm getting rid of this cause it looks naff. Getting the black off is not too difficult but can anyone recomend a way of getting the glue residuel that is left behind.

Meths - best stuff in the world for cleaning sticky shit off! Smells a bit, but doesn't last too long.

Right Meths, ill try that. Had a go with white spirit but it didnt do much.
It's pretty tough stuff. Can I use scotchbrite to rub through or will this scratch the glass.

Different problem now.
The first tint i removed has shown me that the glass is not standard. i.e. it's perfecly clear instead of the rest of the windows which all have a slight green tint.
This is because the door is from another car.
Can I get a new standard on fitted anywhere?

Unfortunately not. It's the bit in the rear door.

I don't think so. I don't open the car with the key. The door with the odd window came from the scrappers which already had a tint in it so i couldn't tell it was a white pane.

have you fibished cleaning all of the windows? if so how did it go. if not might beable to kill 2 birds with 1 stone? I didn't bother as I realised the window was an odd colour so there wasn't much point. The otheres had different stuff on them which didnt leave any crap behind.
