hhaaa at last the day is dawning MOT!!!!!!!!!! i may have got the 24v gsi for nowt but its made up for that in pain
after i did the seals and cam cover gasket i managed to cause an air leak on the inlet side of things sorted that with new o rings and gasket it still wouldnt idle!!!!!
so i checked out the i.a.c.v it is dead flatlined passed away
so i replaced it!! still no joy then just by chance i popped in to the local scrappy and found a 24v senator
i rapped it of its throttle body complete with sensor and the air mass meter
i cleaned up the throttle body spotless and fitted both bits fired her up and
bingo it runs mint the rear spoiler and toe eye cover came from the paint shop today so its 99% there mot tomorrow i dont think its gonna fail but ive got to adjust the handbrake shoes in the morning and check lights and stuff will it cost me anymore surley not
