Is it just me or do others  suffer from ticking the "notify me of replies" only to be never notified? It works sometimes but not always

I dont bother with that, I just come on site and click "show unread posts since last visit" If theres nothing of interest I just ignore. (although I do read all the postings just incase I can input posts)
