That might just work a treat!
If it does, let me know what rating you use so I can order some!

To give some comparison, the LED's which indicate when the switches are on are probably no more than 5 mcd and give a diffuse light.

The high intensity 5000 mcd are clear and give a much more focused beam; hence Murph's comment that the people in the back seat wouldn't like them much Shocked

ahh i see thanks for that melinx, youve just answered my next question, about the led that indicates when the light is switched on!

will do murph, will tell you how i get on, due to me owning a golf i love the red in the dash, and everyone seems to be doing blue so ill be different and do the red haha!

Apparently the standard resistors are 470 ohms, which you'll probably already know!

ill get some varying resistances, take pics and let yous decide !

tke care

right i have now completed all of the switches, they look they dogs nackers, in compariosn to the blue 3mm leds these are far better! theres a more even light distribution accross the image o the switch, and there is little bright spots too, im really achieving the VW look in side haha

next job fully illuminate the heater controls once i figure out how to remove, (cable type)

Hmm... I am after some more LED's for behind the clocks but the links on this thread are dead. It's the big ones that light up the speedo and rev counter. Anybody got a link?
