Bought a 400W bridgeable 10" boombox - speaker, box, amp and wiring kit for less than a ton whilst on holiday last week.

Now I know Jack about ICE, but hooked it up to see what it would sound like, and it's sounding OK.

Tonight, I screwed it in, ran the wires in, tidied it all up, and after tweaking the gain and frequenciy settings, got it to sound good.

For the sake of a few quid, I've almost got the sound I've been wanting for along time!

Next up, fit the crossovers to the JBL's in the front to see if that will cure the system cutting out when it's cranked up, and if that doesn't work, get a pair of Vibes to match the shelf speakers.

Do you know what "Nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible c*nt... me.
