Hi all,

As everyone is currently aware, we have been having intermittent (but long) issues with access speed to our current hosts (www.powweb.com) who arent being very unhelpful with Customer Service.

So a change of host will be made, we will be moving to www.asmallorange.com as I have previous experience of them, and while the features-per-pound will take a bashing, the customer service is generally awesome  Cool

There will be NO fee to pay, I am committed to keeping TotalCarlton.com free for all.

I will also take this opportunity to upgrade the forum software to the latest version to help with general running speed and MAYBE implement some new ideas.

However I am currently underneath a Mk2 Carlton for pretty much all my evenings in a Bid to make Billing, so please bear with me until after the VBOA Billing Show for these changes to be implemented. The site will be offline for a fair amount of time (read a couple of days max hopefully) whilst the final swap is made. I hope that after this period TC will continue to grow and become stronger.

Thankyou for your patience with this matter, and feedback greatly welcomed in this thread.

Regards

Mark

Good news, mate - I do like this site. Shame about the downtime; I'll have to make a nuisance of myself on "the other side"...

Might even start to get some more interesting posts on OEC....

I tend to forget how much work goes in to maintaining a forum, This is a great site with really helpful members who live in the real world, making the running of a Carlton more appealing. I ,(like many other people I suspect) take this and other forums' smooth running for granted, and forget about the on-going work done behind the scenes. I am looking forward to the site being back up to speed and would like to thank you and  the other guys that make it all possible. Smiley

Personally, I wouldn't know where to start!! Roll Eyes

Well, thanks for all the encouragement chaps.

Royston, yes it does need a fair amount of work, sadly I find it a struggle to even manage that a lot of the time, however this should redress the balance!

As a slight curve ball to our hosting issues, my brother has offered me space on a Virtual Private Server he is renting, which is rather spangly. Look at for calls to help test it in the not so distant future. Smiley
