need the square air filter adaptor you would get with a k+n filter ( adapts round air filter to the square shape on the air flow meter..

just been talkin to a man who does a bit of rallying in chevette he rekons to take ur air filter element out and stick the k+n onto the air filter inlet pipe as low as u can get it, me like u ave got a k+n and the bastard wont fit without the adaptor, trying mine tomorow........ by the way still want grill if uve still got it....

Stick a panel filter in it & drill a few 1" holes in the airbox if you want it to sound better. Only drill holes in the front of the box & the bottom - dont drill anything in the end that faces the engine as it will suck in warm air. Try to add an extra cold air pipe ducting upto the fiter housing from the front bumper area. K&N dont list a 57i kit for the Carlton or Senator, I have been running 24v Senators for years & have experimented with various Induction set ups & the panel filter is by far the best.

Air filter adapter... go to scrapyard,look fior series 3 xj6 4.2 jag or f reg up5 series bmw... they havethem screwed to airflowmeter all ready, and even has nice funnely shape on it...
