original senator radio, code input probs

right fellas, just put me battery back on and its asking me for codes or the radio and cd player. Its the top model radio if that helps, anyways I stupidly put the code for the cd player in the radio and pressed loads of buttons trying to get it to work to no avail.

Manual says for each wrong input you have to wait 1 min then 2 mins, 4 mins, 8 mins, etc to max of 32 mins. I turned it off and back on now it says CAR (flashes a few times) next to it it flashes 1, then x, then 8 does this about 10 times then all the display has is 3 dashes like - - -. No buttons work, even sat for over an hour to see if the 32min retry thing was the problem but it still just has - - -.

Got cd player on but radio is still knackered, tried removin battery to reset the tings, cd players sez CODE, radio still CAR 1x8 then - - -.

What the hells garn on peeps?!?!
