Here's one for ya.....
leccy wing mirrors... mine don't work, they both did when i bought the car in july, but both stopped one day. I can hear the motors inside them both clicking, and the heaters still work (they were steaming the other morning, which looked ace!!)

Anyone got any ideas?

my drivers side one does this, it's pretty annoying too.

I think it's just come off the cogs inside or something, I've just not got round to taking it apart and having a look....  Roll Eyes

If you end up taking the whole thing apart and fixing them, any chance of some pics to help other people with the same problem?

(yes, I'm lazy!)

you hear the motors clicking? That rules out the switch in the doorcard (which was faulty in my car - well, it still is...)

This happened on mine once and it turnrd out that the mirror had just popped off of the mechanism.

To cure this I put firm but gentle pressure on the mirror glass (with a piece of cloth to spread to pressure) until I heard them click back on.  Doesnt always work but worth a try.  Grin

Yeah, I did try that myself, didn't want to put too much pressure on it so I break the mirror tho - I so don't need 7 years bad luck..... Roll Eyes

Despite the lack of neccessity in this case, I have to agree.

Strip 'em down anyway!  Grin

Job done! Whoever sadi it was simple was right.

The connector between door wiring and mirror was corroded al to hell, bit of emery cloth, squirt of GT85, all working. Now I gotta wait till it gets colder to see the steaming wing mirrors again!

Next job; expansion tank....
