Got to say I don't know what the fuss is about ............. must have missed something while I have been away but AFAIAC if I go off on one (which happens) then I would rather the mods slapped my wrists than just deleted my posts with no comment (which has also happened).
This site is brilliant and tends to be more community based and not as restrictive as most others.
IT WORKS so just keep doing what you have been doing and thanks to all the mods.

Question, who is the overall Moderator?Huh??   I would like to hear his input. Being ex-army, i want to hear from the top rank, not lower ranks.

Kinda like who moderates the moderators? TBH there is no rank in moderation but if there was I would say Colon elk is top dog he set up the site etc etc

I'm sure he will be along and give some constructive comment

Bottom line is (from my perspective) I "moderate" if it's needed and most of the time it's really a moderators call - sometimes I'll ask for a second opinion behind closed doors if on reading the thread or post several times I'm not sure to let it run or not.

Personally I offered to help out when support was a bit thin on the ground and the some of the original moderators had become far less active and I'd rather see a well run forum than a messy dissjointed and sloppy forum which is what normally happens if there is no moderation

I am sorry to say but some mods only come on ownce in a while.
It's worth poinying out here that if you look at the forum stats you will see that of the 8 moderators;

5 are in the top 10 by post count
4 are in the top ten by time online
5 are in the top ten topic starters

Only one of the original moderators (Sir_Sideways) is no longer with us - he moved on to pastures new.

As for myself, I was asked to become a moderator when it became clear that Gaz was not going to return and the site was going to need more than 3 moderators.

I am sorry to say but some mods only come on ownce in a while. Complain and bugger off again leaviving other members in a bad feeling.

I don't get on much in the evening, purely because I'm a night driver. I leave the house at roughly 17.00 and don't get back in until 03.00 - ish, providing I have a problem free night, which I didn't last night, the tail-lift on my trailer packed up at Norwich.
Anyhow, this is why I do my posting when most of you are either in bed, or at work.

Hey guys, speak to Pedro i gave him a PM to explain things........................
Lets jus say i am a GSI running on 4 cylinders.
You Guys take the time to Mod because you have it in your heart. You take the time which you could spend on other things to clear up the mess.

All I can say is i am not running on unleaded.

Best regards

Stuart
