Hi Mods,

I have been a member of this site for years. Some mod on on here are good guys, but some of the the old mods no longer seem to care. I think the site has lost vision. We had fun helped each other out, but the people that gave the site site a lift with no interst of the the sit ase seem to be evil. A Site takes  all type of people to participate.

OH yes, Random Rubbish was for that. Now it seems to be the opposite.

Ban some, ban me, believe me it will let other people know. For the size of the site, too many chiefs......................

Some Mods are OK others..................control freaks

As said before, you don't like my way of thinking...................ban me. Plenty other places to go.

I just feel the way you treat members at times is low. I have seen it more and and more other the month's

Personally, I can't see where that's come from, Mr. Man.

This is the most loosest forum that I frequent, and I was very surprised to be asked to become a moderator as I can be as guilty as anyone for spam posts and general tomfoolery.
I suppose a poacher makes a good gamekeeper!

But everyone has a voice, and as such, must speak!

Moderator - control freak, same thing really. That's the way it has to be.
Nobody wants to ban anybody, all we're asking is you keep the fun stuff to the relevant section.
Surely that's not too much to ask, is it?

May well be. But in some likes out with RR where a member is is having a bad time, a laugh may help that person, as at at the the end they will get the answer. But within they got a chuckle!

I agree this is a good site, yes people do go off topic but at the end of the day this is a very friendly place
So what if some mods only have a look in now and then and may have a complaint or two.. but think about it, they're the ones missing out on the fun and banter....

going a bit off topic isn't too bad in my opinion, I think the main issue is when it goes really off topic

Why is Pedro missed of your list ?? Shocked Shocked Shocked
Oops - my bad.

Sorry Pete!

Stu, no-one wants anyone to feel alienated mate, and us mods (me included) are far from perfect.

As A3LTR said, it's only a problem when a thread goes off on a completely new tangent.

fraid its the same with all sites but i think this site is 1 of the better ones. Mods seem to have done good job imho if anything i think they could be more strict on some of the randomness. In all honesty i've not seen or heard of people turning on each other an had nothing but help from ppl.

I think the moderators do an excellent job,
the whole point being to keep the site tidy,
It's a great website but we must remember that it is open for all to read,
as such, that means the site needs cleaning up from time to time.

also,
 The site is free !
moderators are not paid,
and the site owners fund it out their own pockets.

so i say "well done and thankyou "  Smiley

and if any mods want to correct my spelling ..... Grin

why do moderators have to clear up threads?Huh

well take this thread for instance it was nothing to do with how or what the moderators do. It was just my way of asking who was part of the the moderation team and suggestin the list be available to new members thats all. Is that what its about now?

i for one have tryed to help this site succeed and i don't think its good to have personal digs or slaggin matches etc on public view espicially when trying to get new members. I'm not takin sides on the issue cos i'm not interested in silly quarrels that could ruin what is a very good forum.

Thats actually a good example of why we have to clean up Daz.

Sometimes things get out of hand, even quite aggressive on occasion, and we have had to prune the thread back and PM the members concerned and ask them to keep that kind of thing to PM's.

Sometimes those members have objected but usually not too much, they want the forum to succeed too after all.

TBH its a judgement call alot of the time, we have to decide when a thread has gone too wayward - if they go too far off course we would never find the information that may have been asked for at the top of the thread.

In the case of this thread, it does seem to have gone a little off course but at least we are still with the original topic ie the moderators, and if people need to make any comment on how well or not they feel the moderators do their jobs then we need to hear it.

I ain't arguing, i just see a them and us division. Love this site to bits and told any one who is a member to come in past the house as the door is always welcome to any one. But hey, I have a medical problem so i speak my mind more. So all i can say is keep it going, the site is great, but maybe the laws should of been laid down at the infant stage of the site rather than the dummy being spat out know.

Question, who is the overall Moderator?Huh??   I would like to hear his input. Being ex-army, i want to hear from the top rank, not lower ranks.
