Once again, the moderating team have found it neccessary to issue a reminder to a member to keep remarks to certain sections of the forum.
It's never a nice thing to have to do, but certain topics have been sent haywire by certain remarks being slotted into them.
We all know it's not a remendously serious business keeping these old motors on the road, but when a member comes on with a serious question, I think he - or - she deserves a serious answer.
So, if you want a laugh and a topic full of double etendres, please keep it in the relevant section i.e. random rubbish.

By the way, it was me who instigated the action being taken, so if a lynch party is going to be sent out, I'm your man.
There's a nice big lamp post opposite my house.........

I am the worlds worst for going of topic, if I see an opening for witty (?) banter I usually insert it. (thats a funny way of putting it) thats just me. I was born with a devil may care atitude and its carried me though life being happy. Everything I do I enjoy doing and would go out of my way to help others.
The british are renouned the world over for their quirky sense of humour and I intend to keep the national flag flying in that respect.
now heres an example of how my mind works.

Some of you may remember that I am replacing the brake pipes on my Carlton. Yesterday evening I was under the car in a cramped position when my arms and legs refused to work anymore. My immediate thought was Im going to miss my beauty sleep tonight and knowing that the wife wouldnt come looking for me for no apparent reason I started laughing. After about 15 minutes (seemed longer)my limbs still refused to move and I called to a guy walking his dog. Imagine trying to get this guy to drag me out and me with a big grin on my face. He thought he was on candid camera. Eventually he did get me out and I lay on the grass for a few more minutes still grinning. eventually I started to move and went indoors for a pick me up. the moral of this story is even in adversity I can and do have a laugh. (Oh and the car will be going to a garage to be finished.)

I find this site enjoyable and friendly and do enjoy a friendly banter,  there are some nice people on here who are a foil for me to go for.but sometimes I get carried away(something to do with age) But I am what I am, what you see is what you get.
