I am in the middle of planning a trip around most of Europe for next year! Hope to go down through france into Monaco, down on into Italy drive through the Alps, including Stelvo Pass and the Mount Blanc tunnel. Then back up into Germany for fun on the Autobahn and the Nurbrug Ring and into Belguim to see Spa. Might plan to do more but I plan to have 3 weeks doing it!!

ok when you hard accelrate out of a juntion the inside wheel tends to spin up,a limited slip diff stops this inside wheel from spinning so both wheels spin at the same speed,
also helps drifting

now that she's got 15's with 215 tyres it won't spin even in the wet..........   Smiley Smiley so i doubt a lsd would make that much difference on the o'l GSI2000   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Fit a slipper diff! You have no idea what your missing out on! LOL

Without a slipper diff as is said above just one wheel is spun up. I used to get totally broadside in my 2.0 CDI L reg carlton. on 15's with 195 or 205 x 65 tyres. It took a massive weight transfering flick to get it to do it though, although with an LSD you have so much control! Find a LSD and replace your standard one. My carlton was just a 2.0 8v and if i put an LSD on it, by god that would have been a spot on cheap mod!! Find a diff for £50 and report back Wink

Police cars had them though.

I got stopped by a Police Omega one evening!!! After all the usual of getting a producer, he said how he missed the Senator and hated the Omega. Then remarked to me how they drift quite nicely, then said "have you ever got the arse out on it?" I replyed "Of course officer, but only when I go to track days and never on the public road". I have this sneaky suspision that he knew I was fibbing.....!!!! Ah well was nice to speak to a copper that was not a real Nob!!!  Yes they do exsist Shocked

I heard a rumour that Manta plate LSDs fit in the Carlton housing. They aint cheap though, normally around £350. Supposedly a stepup from the Viscous ones in the Carlton, but Ive never been given a chance to drive a Carlton with a slipper properly  Cheesy So cant really comment!

However, thats all it is... a rumour.... unless someone has a spare manta & carlton diff laying around anywhere? Smiley

Yeah I thought it was pretty dubious.

Saw that Black Carlton in TV but didnt really read that much about it TBH. Dont know why!

TV are pretty legendary at inaccurate Tech Specs toooo.
