just reading a certain post were some1 was selling stuff an i think it might be an idea 2 only reply 2 posts in the for sale section if ur interested in buyin the item

i only say this cos if things are over priced then surely the person who's buyin the item would have checked prices elsewere 1st??

i know i would if i was lookin at somat

and i'm not interested in takin sides on the matter in question cos i aint arsed lol just think it dont look good espicially when were tryin 2 recruit new members that we want 2 stay and enhance the site

if i'm makin a valid point maybe we could put it in a sticky thread like on other lesser forum's  Wink
just my point of view anyways

Whilst I understand Blippi's honourable and well intentioned thoughts on the matter I have to agree with Sean and Ian on the subject.

The forum (which in my view is excellent) must be an "open and honest" platform for serious enthusiats that want to benefit by the wealth of experience that "the old sea dogs" have to offer both in technical experience and having ones arse bitten in the past by dodgy parts traders.   Sad

I have also and interestingly found that since using eBay for a number of car bits you can actually buy some parts cheaper from your friendly Vauxhall dealer!!
Classic example is car badges unless they are rare and unavailable from Vauxhall.

Good post though Blippi  Wink

Unfortunately thats just human nature, and as someone pointed out, you cant get a feel for how a post is to be taken in written form.

You might say that its a neccessary trade-off : not overpoliceing the forum against the odd argument surfacing.

Any new members will see that a moderator will step in only when absolutely neccessary and take the rough with the smooth accordingly.  Of course, the same new member will probably read this topic and see that we're all pretty fair-minded and just want to have a forum where people can be themselves without fear of being censored.

As long as we are all honest with each other, all disagreements can be sorted and I think it's important to let our members see this happening - Warts-and-all.

just don't put a price on the advert if you don't want people to slate your price....
