Yes you can replace the bulbs yourself if you like? I have changed mine as the original bulbs had blown in some of the switches. Itz a bit fiddely, split the casing, snip the legs of the old bulb, and solder on the new ones. Search for fruit machine bulbs on ebay, 5mm wedge, plenty of different colours too!! Grin

LOL @ UD!

If you use LED's you will need a correctly rated capacitor to bring down the voltage.  Most LED's work at about 3vdc.  Roll Eyes

This is correct, and its damn fiddley, thats why i suggested the bulbs. If your very carefull, you can even get away without soldering and just ensure that the legs of new bulbs make a good contact within the switch!! The red bulbs are the best. And you can also convert the bulbs at the back of your clocks ( non digi dash ) with 10mm wedge fit. You can easily use the LED bulbs that are sold for sidelights/headlights as the old bulbs just pull straight out of their holders. I hope to get some pics of mine soughted soon so that will give you an idea!!

I know a couple of guys that have fitted LED's, and both removed them - cos they're too bright!

I dunno what wattage they were, or what is available, but one guy has ICELED bulbs, and couldn't put up with them. He had every switch and dial done for around £60 in his Vectra, and promptly got rid after a week or so.
