Looks and works fine. The only problem that I encountered with the wiring is that there is very little space behind the front courtest light .

i might try feeding cable thru to front then leave enough to solder it then pull exess back. then solder rears might make it a bit easier as ive got loads of time after friday , off sick for 4 months

just a thought , would telephone wire work on this ? you know the one with the four wires in, or would the power melt it? its smaller and bit stiffer

Wouldn't use telephone cable. Stick to proper power cable

I fitted the standard Senator eyeball rear lights to my Carlton. All you need to do is cut a small amount of the metal away using a dremel or such like. I then ran the wires to the front courtesy and duplicated the connections so that they work as the front does. This way you can turn them on, off or have them fade down.
2 questions .... how the hell did u cut the metal Ive tried with hacksaw blade and small drill neither seem to want to do as I'm asking .Ive cut the hole in the roof lining but there is at least 1/2" of metal to remove , and how does Ur's fade down ? mine just goes off when u shut the door no fading / /

right Finlay got my arse in gear to do the interior lights!! managed to wire one side of the lights so i can switch them on and off but having trouble finding the right lead to get the light to come on with the door switch there is a grey wire which is live with the door shut then earths out with the door open(guessing this is the earth for door pin) tried connecting the rear light to this but doesn't work, all the other wires are a constant live so light stays on perm and doesn't go off with the door shut. ANY SUGGESTION PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

You got this sorted yet??
You're on the wrong side of the lamp circuit with that one!
The interior lights are fed with permanent 'live', the door switches then close to make the 'earth return' when the doors are open.........thus competing the circuit & putting the lamps on.

I explained all this to flash last night on frappr chat, one side of lamp is live ,the other side of lamp is switched neutral(earth) via door pin switch or switch on light unit . how he was wiring live to door pin switch i don't know, must have been some sparks flying .lol.

WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Finally got rear light to work THANKS to BUDGIE and a little patience, soldered two wires to where the festoon holder comes thru on the PCB(this operates the on/off with the door pins front and back) and took an earth of the original earth wire(this operates the independent on/off switch). Just need to do the other side but it Will have to wait as car goes in to the tin doc for some surgery as seen in photos on here ,other side going to be a doddle as I'm just going to run power lead across the back of the car behind the roof lining.
