Yes i totally agree, have had this discussion on ABS and no one likes my comments about the Pile of rubbish Omega!!!! nice to see someone else has a similar few. All the ABS members are Omega lovers, not one would say anything bad about the car, all owners claimed they had no problems?Huh my arse

As discussed, that's your opinion and not gospel!! Noone minds your opinions, I think it's the tone you use TBH. We actually concluded that you had a particularly bad one. That happens with all marques of car.

That's simply not true, and I don't thnk you're doing yourself any favours by damning the ABS members.

I love my Omega, but I'm not under any misconceptions that it's a cheap car to run.

FWIW, I've had more trouble from Senators and Carltons than I've had from my Omega, but that doesn't mean I think they're a "Pile of rubbish".

Yet again, this is a free forum. not linked to ABS.

ABS is a club.

This is an open forum, Talk free.

PS - If Mods want to correct me about this being linked to ABS, Feel free to do so.

Fed up of people relating this site to ABS all the time.

The Tone i used was one of freedom of speech, simple i dont like the Omega 3.0 v6 full stop, biggest load or rubbish Vauxhall ever produced.
I have ownded 2 x 3.0 v6 Omegas so my comments are from experience, not here say.

The ABS member in question was asking for opinions before he purchased said car? i gave my opinion and got verbal from all, even a private PM was sent, asking me not keep slagging the Omega off?Huh freedom of speech. I DONT THINK SO. Shocked Shocked Kiss kiss my arse Kiss

Agreed, but there are many members on here who are also members of the ABS, so as we are allowed to 'talk free' I would anticipate a certain amount of cross pollenation due to the subset of vehicles we are fanatical about.

So hang on, you're promoting 'freedom of speech', but mentioning other clubs and/or forums is frowned upon?

Nope, don't get it!!  Huh

You can have the sand pit all to yourselves, I'll be in the pub.

I have two V6's currently and they're no trouble at all. So your opinion is by not definitive by any manner of means. Plus, If I were to start spouting that Carltons were a big pile of poo on here in the manner you did/do here then I'd expect to be pulled up about it at least.

The ABS member in question was asking for opinions before he purchased said car? i gave my opinion and got verbal from all, even a private PM was sent,

Yes it was because of your tone. 'Freedom of speech' is not a tone it's a privilege. The tone you were using was very aggressive and is in my opinion bordering on offensive

asking me not keep slagging the Omega off?Huh freedom of speech. I DONT THINK SO. Shocked Shocked Kiss kiss my arse Kiss

Now you've crossed the aforementioned border.

I use these forums to surround myself with people I have something in common with and broaden the wealth of knowledge and experience not to be subject to people with chips on their shoulder.

BTW, Hi Newbie!! Good luck!!

Points made fella's.
Can we keep them in PM's for the moment?

Freedom of speech is all good but it doesnt make our forum look good when it comes out in a thread that's supposed to welcome a new member does it?

Cheers

You must be a very, very sensitive chap? My tone? Aggressive? i was replying to a question with an honest answer, how can you determine my tone,my aggressive / offensive behavior. Have you got a web cam???

Im back in the sand pit Kiss Kiss

If i have offended anyone with my controversial, offensive, aggressive attitude?? then im deeply sorry Kiss Kiss

Happens on every forum I've ever viewed BS115.

Due to the lack of audible tone and visual expression, one has to be very careful about how one expresses their opinion in order that they're not misunderstood. And also I've learned that one has to be open to criticism if they're percieved to have overstepped the mark.

Some are better, or perhaps more practiced, at it than others.

Anyway, for bye all that, all the best. I hope you enjoy it. There's some real gems on here.
