well as the title says any1 got any idea's wats up

1st of all i tried the bulbs
checked the fuses
swapped the bulb holders 2 1's from my old car

any idea's??

Might be the switch on the brake pedal mate - should be two wires. Could try bridging the wires together to see if lights come on.

Other than that, it's too early on a Saturday morning for me to think clearly................

u can but also remember i'm clueless lol wouldnt know it if i saw it

just wanted 2 know wat it looks like an were exactly on the brake pedal 2 find it


also is the switch a removable unit that i could just swap with the 1 off my other car??

Top of the pedal, on the pedal box, coupla wires coming out of it. You can indeed change them, as they unscrew. IIRC, there's a detailed pic in the Hayne's Joke Book.

anyways removed the switch from the pedal all good till i get the 1 out of the other carlton the spade arrangement is different  Angry Angry Angry

is this just because the new car is phase 2 an the other 1 isn't???

Mine fell to bits - luckily, I had a spare one, and the terminals were different. I chopped the plug from the wires, crimped on a couple of spade terminals, and found the two terminals on the switch that made the lights work and job's a good un!

I'm just wondering if yours has cruise control? If so, you'll probably need the correct switch - about £12 from Vauxhall.............I ditched the cruise anyway, so it didn't bother me.

went 2 vaux 2day £9 they wanted so ordered 1 2 pick up 2moz so should be all sorted Wink

yea i was thinkin of doin the same choppin the other 1 2 fit but at least this way i keep the cruise control not that i ever use it lol
