Had this a few times Rob.

Usually found the solenoid is knackered, mate. Sometimes a good squirt of WD40 or similar works, sometimes it don't - dodgy old GM leckies! Roll Eyes

Bad news, but at least you're prepared to remove the doorcard anyway!

Removed the rear seat and started to remove the door card then i realised there is a screw behind the locking pin, so managed to prize it up and release the red clip and at the same time open the door. The motor seemed to the jammed solid. Removed it from the lockin` mech and its totally knackered.
Cheers blokes bang on the money again
Ps while i was doing this the misses had gone shoppin, so took the door lock motor off , changed the rear brake pads, fitted the strut brace and the stainless plate that sits on the top of the radiator, that door lock took ages darlin` honest Grin Grin Grin Grin

Good lad, Rob! Wink

Me and my mate Phil fitted a 24v engine, box, ancilliaries, connected the wiring plugs etc, filled with water, rolled it back into the garage and got washed off and changed while our "better" halves went to Leeds shopping.
Then we went to the pub, had some grub and a couple of pints, strolled back to my gaff and were drinking coffee when our lasses decided to saunter in.

"Have you started yet?" they nonchalontly enquired as they brought in many bags of bugger all.

Err, it's gonna be a long job, love....................... Grin Grin Grin
