ok,me mark and gaz have tried to get this site going on a pretty low budject and we do put time and effort into it,i hope in the near future it will grow and grow until its a fair size,
mainly the auto bahn stormers do a fantastic job at surrporting the 6cyclinder carlton(im a member),but that leaves the 4 cyclinder carltons.........out in the dark?
this site is for EVERY CARLTON,
so if your carlton is floorless or flawless,your welcome on this site,
the carlton has many appeals,be it motor sport,a modern classic,or a useable car.
so if your 17 and want one as your first car,as i did.or you see your carlton as a every day car,
JOIN US.
any how,how can i attract members?
every carlton related ebay listing i do,i plug the site at the bottom,and i ask every member if they could do the same..
ok so my ideas are,
flyers to put under windshield wipers
car sticker(expensive for me)
kidknapp un expecting owners till the join.

I've plugged the site on www.vauxhallsportscarclub.co.uk. I also know a chap that has just started making up vinyl stickers - he did some for me - 'H@SV - I JUST BUILT ONE' - they're as good as any shop bought ones. If you have a logo in mind, I could ask? Flyers are a good idea - if there was a downloadable one, we could print them off ourselves? Getting mentioned in Total Vauxhall in the Club section? Getting a link from Vauxhall Heritage? I'm trying, mate! (Very trying at times - so I'm told...............!)  |

same hear word of mouth  i got a big mouth so i'll put the word around wouldn't mind a sticker that could fit in the rear 1/4 glass ( triangle 1 ) any way hopefully upgrading soon OMEGA MV6  |

When I FINALLY get a full time internet connection so I can work on this site and sort the graphics, Im sure we can sort out some graphics as I have a contact in that area  Its grown very well so far IMHO. 24 members in a very short space of time is good going |

Hi,
All great ideas - does take a while to get really established though.
My son is a web designer and runs a community web site in Lincolnshire - I'm sure he'd be more than happy to give "Total Carlton" a good plugging.
If he doesn't it will be the last time i give him a lift in mine ~;o)
Anyone got a striking logo he could use?

Alas not yet. My PC (with all the graphic/web design software on it) has no net connection at present, and I only get periodic use of a friends PC. Im trying to sort out a Router to connect us up, but Im pretty skint at the moment and every time I think I can afford it, my rent cheque goes out  Graphics and all will be coming as soon as I get that link! |

I am getting a run of business cards and stickers made up for my new business venture, the guy i'm dealing with is very cheap and im sure we could come to an arrangement on something about getting some totalcarlton merchandise made up. Will have to speak about this with mark (colonel K)/ian and the rest of the board members about the best course of action. I've been super busy lately so my post count is still rather low and my input is not as much as i would like. The site is growing, give it time |

i have approched 2 selected members about use of there cars on the site,these to car repersent the two different side of the carlton world,
modified,and mint
me and mark have discussed the possible of a club shop, a web based thing where u pay by credit/debit card.
mugs/t-shirts/bra`s?? etc
however mark doesnt answer his phone tonight so i am unable to tell him

LOL, so that was you then Ian! Didnt answer as was driving, and I cant call you back as you dont allow your number to be visible, so I didnt know it was you! As for T-shirts and things.... we need something to put on em! Havent got any graphics at the moment. Maybe a user challenge is in order? Think Ive read ya mind on which 2 cars you are talking about Boss thinking there. |

As far as stickers go, a mate at www.cliftonmoorracing.co.uk has just started doing vinyl cutting. I asked him if he could do me "H@SV - I JUST BUILT ONE" in silver, about 80 x 50mm. He did me five and charged me a fiver. OK, so it's cheap cos he's just starting out, but the quality is very good. If you like, I could give him a yell? |
