I've seen them done before and always thought they looked crap.

I had a similar sort of thing on my old 3.0 auto estate.
Standard Carlton grille, but with the chrome V piece fitted. I liked it.
Wonder what it would look like on a Senator chip cutter grille?

Don't like it - it's a Vectra grille, definitely, and it makes the Carlton look like a Vectra at the front with it on, IMHO!

The newer, chunkier, V grille would look alot better on Carlton, I reckon!

off thread a bit but still a grills..
thought the senny grill neede toning down a bit so experimented with a bit of matt black.
rather liked it until  one day someone thought it was a merc . that put me right off the idea.
havnt changed it yet though.

i like it, gives it a mean look!

i might try that mod with the vectra grille at some point, hmm but then i like the big chromed plastic strip along the front to !  Tongue Cheesy
