Basically......

I have an ecu from a 24v auto.. its fitted with a 'starchip' which is needed to run a decat pipe.. for example..

I want to run this ecu on a car fitted with a manual box... is it possible or will i crash and burn?]

LOL many thanks once again sean... i'm aware of it being a seperate ECU to the 'moronic' that controls the air and fuel etc... my concern arose when i removed the engine wiring loom and from the same loom, it went to both the engine ecu + the autobox ecu... just thought it was worth checking.... will find out just how effective next week when the engine conversion is complete!

You can alter the style of driving by changing tranny ecu's.

GSI more sporty diplomat more refind and economical ect.

The white GSI is a wreck, the inner arches are gone, the sills are gone wheel arches are fucked way beyond my red one... the chassis rails are gone, its done over double the mileage my car has done and its evident that this car has been abused... my red gsi is 1 owner from new and 98k on it, and an excellent base car to work from.

I like the challenge anyway! and as a personal thing i'd rather have a red GSI than a white one for myself... at no point in time was it even a close option to keep the white gsi... pictures are VERY decieving!  Roll Eyes

I like the idea of working on my car and making it exactly how i like it, all my car needs is this engine conversion, sills and arches, and the plastic body panels sprayed and it will be practically mint! The white one is only worthy of the scrap mans gas torch
